Happy New Year, everyone!

Put in several hours on "White Peony" today. White flowers are challenging to paint, because there are so many colors in them…only one of which is actually white. I added a lot more middle tones. Maybe I will finish up tomorrow… (The photo quality here is not great, but I had lost sunlight at this point and used my iPhone to shoot a quick photo to post.)

I am working on a series of paintings for an upcoming gallery show in March.  

The final size of this triptych will measure 20" X 40".

Inspired by the wind and the rain and the colors of autumn…

it's that time of year again...

Every year I am inspired by the season to paint autumn leaves.  The season is fleeting. It is my way of holding onto the season a little while longer.  I am inspired by the beautiful fall colors we have here in the Midwest.  8" X 11" watercolor on paper.
