Simple beauty! The time you took to get the ellipses just right really paid off. The realism is just amazing! I'm a huge fan! : )

Beautiful! Your ellipses are spot-on, and having the patience to get the ellipses right - wow!

Ellipses are so difficult. You've mastered the skill! I was wondering what type of beautiful piece this would end up being. The pattern is lovely and delicate.
Fantastic job Kate!! I'm glad you took a break from the ants to clear your head and get centered with what you love ;)

Thanks Ces and Laurel. Laurel, you must know how hard it's been for me to be away from blogging! : ) Felt good to do something I wanted to do for a change!

Absolutely exquisite, Kate. The humble pencil, when placed in your hands, is transformed into a magical, mystical instrument, the capabilities of which far exceed any boundaries known to mankind. That, and you draw good, too. Kate..hope I can get ya to participate in Windows to the Words...and give me some suggestions.

James, you made me laugh! Thanks, though! I got your email about Windows to the Words and will email you this week.

Wow. It's really stunning, Kate. The elipses are brilliant. I shy away from drawing them. I'm so impressed that you can get such accuracy. Freehand too?! Astounding.

Ditto to Joan Y! I'm learning this art lingo, but I could tell it took time to do what you do with such percision and it pays off. Just simply beautiful.

Another wonderful drawing...and drawing an elipse is no small task, very well done...if I drew this, the lid would not fit on the jar.

I love the softness of your drawings. Are you a fan of Chris Van Allsburg?

Great job, Kate!

You captured such wonderful little details in the jar. The floral pattern around the rim, the bird, the glossy highlights.

Really nice!
