Study of a glass bottle in my watercolor Moleskine. I made this study for a sketchbook class I was teaching this past summer. (Unfortunately, not all of the values were picked up on my rickety little tabletop scanner.)
I was just looking at the large version and relishing the washes. I thought it was monochromatic at first, but it's not really at all! That is what makes this so brilliant!

Ooooo, nice Kate! I can't wait to see more out of your watercolor moleskine! How do you like the paper?
Really nice Joan. It takes the watercolor very well and does not wrinkle up....thanks.

This is wonderful already, but I can appreciate how frustrating it is when your scanned image doesn't do the original justice; it must be fantastic.

Gorgeous illustration, Kathleen!
Very nice.
Watercolour is the right choice for glass, isn't it?

Wonderful piece Kate!!!
It's still a lovely painting. You've handled the simplicity beautifully.
