Illustration Friday - "Wise" (kate's leaf)

(in my watercolor Moleskine)

"While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease." - Genesis 8:22

There is wisdom in remembering that there is a purpose for every season in our lives and it is all part of a bigger plan for us.

Hi Kate,
I picked up a beautiful yellow, heart-shaped leaf yesterday and was hoping to use it somehow. You have shown me how beautiful it can be simply painted in watercolors.
Your paintings are all so well done.
Happy days,
Joanie

Great work with this and all your other pieces! Very clean and realistic. The scripture is a poignant promise from God's Word in uneasy times. :)

Hi Kate, thanks for the comment on my illustration blog. I really think these watercolors are great. And your book illustrations capture something about "kid-ness" that is rare, its a really special gift. By the way, do you actually upload all these posts in the middle of the night? You must be asleep all day long :)

Kathleen Rietz said...

Thanks jmigration.....yes, unfortunately, I don't get much sleep. That is the best time for me to work...when there are no distractions. I know, most of my posts are uploaded between 1 and 5 AM. I am usually up anyway, wondering how I am going to pay the bills. Thanks God, my art keeps me sane.
