red leaf

I forgot how poorly reds scan. Maybe I will try photographing the painting instead. The original painting has a much broader range of pretty reds.

I am loving your leaf series Kate. Makes me wish I got to see the leaves fall and experience the richness of colors. BUT, I guess I do get to see them ... through your gorgeous paintings! Thanks for sharing! :)

You are just a Moleskine drawing/painting fiend! :-) I'm being inspired.

oooh, nice! I'm sure it's so much richer in real life, but it still looks wonderful in the scan.
I can actually see you painting these...calmness surrounds you.

Oh, Kate! Your leaves are autumn heaven! Your watercolor work is truly lovely, and the reds in this one came out rich and beautiful. I can only imagine how incredible it must be in real life.

Kate!

I like the way the reds appear here.

Very wine-like in color and very natural looking too.
